How to Make Homemade Clay
Last week, my girls and I decided to make our favorite —homemade clay. Whether it’s a rainy day or you're looking for a fun activity to do with your littles, this recipe is not only quick and easy but provides a safe alternative.
WHAT you’ll need
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of salt
1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil
1/2 of hot water
Step 1. Mix all ingredients together ( their is no right order )
Step 2. Once it’s mixed you’ll want to stir until you get a thick consistency
Step 3. Let it sit and cool for 15 minutes
Step 4. Enjoy !
(Once you have your desired shapes, bake them in the oven at 250 for 20 minutes and it’s ready for paint ! )
My kids have so much fun making clay and the best part is whatever is unused can last in the fridge for up to 7 days if stored properly. *pro tip - lightly salt your table so that the clay doesn’t stick
